Maybe possible with a small enough voice impute device and turning the string into wire/braided wire
(I doubt the cup->string->cup method would work)
I would be surprised if anyone picked that up at all! But must have had some interesting reactions by passer-byers or those who really needed to use a pay phone for whatever reason in this day and age…

Randomly I was biking past it one day, and someone walked by, did a double take, picked up the cup and said “That’s f*cking awesome.” to himself. Definitely a sweet moment for me. Thanks for putting it up on your site too.
