German performance artist Johan Lorbeer appeared to be floating in mid-air in a Madrid train station, to the delight of commuters. Apparently his leaning arm is actually fake and is disguising a support structure connected to the wall. He has some photos of similar projects he did in galleries on his site.

That is an original idea. Fooled me!
Excellent Idea, I’d love to pull something like that off… though I’m not sure I buy it. The people in the picture aren’t looking at him, and his feet are far too straight to be held that way for too long, unsupported (his feet look like their resting on the ground).
Jf, check out his website. He’s done other stuff with frames in his clothes that support his whole body, and I imagine this one works the same way.
