If you were a video game geek in the early 1990’s, this is probably up your alley. A quartet of street artists named Mr. Talion, Epoxy, Baveaux, and Kone have added the heads-up display from the first-person shooter computer game DOOM to a number of billboards throughout Berlin. Mentalgassi is a German street art collective that covers urban objects with photographic wheatpastes. Above are photos of public recycling bins (the giant dome shaped things) and ticket validating machines covered with the group’s work.
There will be an Mp3 Experiment in Berlin tomorrow! Improv Everywhere is traveling to Berlin to take part in the InterFilm festival. They’ll be screening videos tonight and then tomorrow hosting an Mp3 Experiment.
Here’s a cool video of a simple hack on a traffic light on a bike lane in Berlin. Using tape, a prankster transformed the light into a heart, star, and drop of water.
